physics CLUB
Established in 1993 and today one of the most popular clubs on campus, the Physics Club at Whittier College promotes both an interest in physics and lifelong friendships among the club members—not all of whom are majors in the field. Over the past few years the club has sponsored the highly anticipated astronomy "star party," which involves overnight camping in the desert or in the mountains, faculty vs. student volleyball games, movie nights, lectures by astronomers and physics professionals, bowling nights, and several other social and academic events.
No membership fees, and no fundraising. The only requirements are an interest in physics and a willingness to have fun! To join or for more information about meeting times and upcoming events, contact the Department of Physics, 562.907.4513.
