Research & Fieldwork

Students are encouraged to find ways to apply their knowledge of psychology outside the classroom. They may choose to be placed in clinical or counseling settings through our fieldwork course. Or they may want to participate in collaborative research with any of our faculty members. These research opportunities are available through work-study, or through the course Research Practicum.

Currently research topics headed by psychology faculty that may have student opportunities are:

Lori Camparo: Child forensic interviewing and the acquisition of prejudice in adolescence and young adulthood..

Chuck Hill: Projects related to dating couples, friendships, and diverse identities.

Ayesha Shaikh: Research on college students with attention deficit disorder who have difficulties in interpersonal relationships.

David Volckmann: Studying undergraduate goals, career choice, achievement, and time perspective.
