Cast Auditions

fall auditions 2008

(auditions for both productions will take place simultaneously)

"Pride and Prejudice" adapted by Jon Jory from the novel by Jane Austen,

directed by Gil Gonzalez

and

"Lorca in a Green Dress" by Pulitzer Prize winner Nilo Cruz,

directed by Jennifer Holmes.

WHEN: Thursday, September 4, 2008 @ 7: 00 P.M.

WHERE: the Studio Theatre in the Shannon Center for the Performing Arts

WHAT: New student auditions (including returning students who have yet to audition at Whittier College).

For these auditions nothing needs to be prepared, only a willingness to explore, play, and audition.

WHEN: Friday, September 5, 2008 @ 6:00-7:30 P.M.

WHERE: the Studio Theatre in the Shannon Center for the Performing Arts

WHAT: Returning student auditions. Please prepare a short 2-minute monologue of your choice, be prepared to sing one verse (approximately 60 seconds) of any song, and acquaint yourself with the Standard British Dialect (for excellent examples, visit Gillian Lane Plescia’s website, http://www.dialectresource.com).

Call back auditions will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2008.
Rehearsals begin Sunday, September 7, 2008.
