Class Reunions

Reunion is about Poets coming back and giving back!

It’s as simple as that... In October of each year, Whittier College welcomes alumni back to campus for Whittier Weekend to celebrate Reunion and Homecoming. This is a time to reunite with classmates and friends - it provides opportunities for networking, exploring the current campus, getting a glimpse at current student life - and is a chance to remember, once again, what it means to be a proud Poet!

Reunion Committees plan each five-year reunion with help from the staff in the Office of Advancement. Planning and organizing a reunion is rewarding but it does involve plenty of work. To be successful, each reunion depends on a strong reunion class committee. Many committed hands will make the work both manageable and enjoyable. Enthusiasm is contagious, and the example committee members set for the class will make all the difference!

Reunions are also a time for classmates to join together to present a special class gift to the College, in particular, to The Whittier Fund. No one knows the benefits of the Whittier College experience better than its alumni. Reunion Class gifts help to maintain the College’s commitment to current students poised to lead, create, and discover. They are counting on those who have enjoyed the benefits of a Whittier education to plant the seeds of opportunity by making a special gift to the College in this reunion year.

Reunion - It wouldn’t be the same without U!

The Office of Advancement is ready to assist alumni in planning their Reunion. Staff will be there every step of the way to provide ideas, encouragement, administrative support and a wealth of experience. We want to work closely with you and your committee to make your Reunion Weekend fun and meaningful!
