Whittier College's faculty is a true reflection of the dynamic energy and diverse perspectives that 
characterize both our student body and our campus culture. In addition to their teaching workload, these are active scholars, artists, and researchers in their respective fields. But what is most impressive—and, these days, seldom apparent in American higher education—is their deep commitment to student learning, both in the classroom and out. This is a faculty that works hard, cares deeply, is engaged in exciting, creative, and scholarly work, listens to one another, and has fun.

While the heart of education is seen in the interaction between faculty and students, it is the staff who facilitates the operations of the campus to make this interaction possible. Whittier College prides itself on employing staff members with expertise in their fields, who aim to make the college experience a positive one for all of its students.
