Career Services for Students
With counselors available for one-to-one career advising, a library of resources, online job and fellowship databases, graduate school selection and application assistance, and a number of events throughout the year to develop business skills and networking, including the Backpack-to-Briefcase Series, the Office of Career Planning is ready to work with students as they explore their career possibilities, and develop a solid, targeted plan to achieve their goals.
Within these pages, you will find information specifically regarding career planning, career preparation, and job search assistance. We invite you to browse through this information, but we do advise that the understanding and use of online resources is most effective when coupled with personal counseling.
Knowing that for many the journey from college to career is a long and confusing one, we strongly urge students to make an initial appointment with our staff as early as the freshman year. Please contact our office at 562.907.4230, and we will be happy to set an appointment or answer any preliminary questions you may have about the career planning process.
