One of the first and most important steps in the career planning process is to identify your skills, accomplishments, strengths, values, interests, career and life goals. Through this self-assessment process you can gain invaluable information to help facilitate your career decisions, as well as prepare you to market yourself effectively during your job search. Online self-assessment tools are readily available on the Internet, but not typically not as effective as the one-on-one counseling provided by Career Services.
