Dear Whittier Student:

I am writing you to review some important account and billing information prior to your arrival at Whittier College in the fall. Please take a moment to read all the enclosed materials carefully since it pertains to your account and payment options.

The following informational materials are enclosed:

- Whittier College Schedule of Charges for the 2008-09 Academic Year

- all 2008-09 Whittier College Tuition Payment Agreement

Every student is required to complete, sign and return this form to the Whittier College Business Office along with payment as a condition of being allowed to register, confirm and attend classes at Whittier College. Refer to your Financial Aid Offer letter for financial aid awards. Unless you are a participant in The Tuition Pay Monthly Payment Plan, the tuition and fees charged less your financial aid awards is due and payable in full by

August 1, 2008 in order to confirm and attend your Fall 2008 registered classes.

- The Tuition Pay Monthly Payment Plan Brochure

The College has found the Tuition Pay Monthly Payment Plan (Sallie Mae) to be a very helpful service at a reasonable cost. For students not participating on the monthly payment plan, tuition is due and payable prior to attending classes.

- Bon Appetit Brochure / Fall 2008-09 Meal Plan Designation Form

All students living on campus will automatically be charged a 15 Meal Plan.  If this meal plan does not meet your needs, please indicate the change on the Meal Plan Designation Form. For your account to reflect the appropriate meal plan charge this form must be completed and returned in the envelope provided by August 1, 2008.

- United Health Care / Student Resources Information Letter

Fall 2008-09 Whittier College Student Emergency Card

College policy requires that every full time student be covered by health insurance while attending Whittier College. You may obtain more information on the insurance plan designed especially for the student of Whittier College by visiting United Health Care at www.uhcsr.com. To complete a waiver form, visit Student Resources at www.srstudentcenter.com. The open period to complete the waiver is 7/1/2008-9/4/2008. Health Insurance Waivers will not be considered after the 9/4/2008 deadline.

- Fall 2008-09 Student Work Study Responsibility Agreement

If you were granted a Work-Study Award as part of your Financial Aid Package please review your budget and determine if it is necessary to contribute your earnings towards your tuition balance. If applicable, review complete and sign the Work Study Responsibility Agreement. Please return in the envelope provided by August 1, 2008.
