Club Sports and Intramurals

Students play an impromptu game of football on the North Lawn.

The Whittier College Athletic Department is pleased to announce an expanded intramural program for its students beginning in Fall of 2008. Assistant Basketball Coach Mark Jensen and Whittier alumnus (2000) has been asked to head up the program as the new Director of Intramurals. Keep your eyes peeled for an action-packed schedule soon to be released, that will include semester-long leagues such as softball, flag-football, inner tube water polo and basketball, as well as periodic tournaments of ultimate frisbee, dodge ball and soccer.

Whittier College sponsors a variety of athletic opportunities in the intramural program for the entire college community. All students and staff are eligible to participate and almost all intramurals are co-ed. Sports previously offered as intramurals or at the club level are volleyball, basketball, soccer, table tennis, and ultimate frisbee.
