Inter-Society Council (ISC) is the student governing body for Whittier’s 10 Societies (local fraternities and soroities). The Council is comprised of a representative of each Society and is co-chaired by a female and male Society member. ISC exists to promote beneficial relationships between the social Societies of Whittier College, providing self-governance of Society affairs and a venue to resolve differences between Societies. Additionally, ISC develops policy, promotes educational and social programming, coordinates system-wide community service efforts, fosters inter-Society relations, and furthers excellence in the areas of: scholarship, leadership, and service.
