Facts about a criminology degree:
  • criminal justice deals with the prevention and
    control of crime, the protection of society,
    justice for the individual, and rehabilitation of the
    offender. The criminal justice system is composed
    of three major segments:
  • law enforcement
  • the judiciary
  • corrections
  • students majoring in criminology are prepared
    for careers in the criminal justice field as well as
    for entry into law school
  • careers can range from "hands on" law enforcement
    to positions in policy and administration

Many employers are interested in the skills which criminology
majors tend to possess. These include:
