Letter to Decline a Job Offer

If you decide to decline an offer, you should formally (in writing) let the employer know of your decision.  Thank the employer for the opportunity to interview and for the offer that was extended to you.  Clearly state in your letter that you are not accepting the position.  There is no need to explain in any detail why you are declining the offer. Overall, the letter should be brief and positive.
