Aloha Concert Series The Brothers Cazimero 20th Anniversary at Whittier
Update, May 13, 2014: As some of you may have heard, Roland Cazimero was hospitalized during the Brothers Cazimero's recent show in Maui. Roland has been diagnosed with pneumonia and as of last Thursday, was still hospitalized. We were informed yesterday, that Roland would not be able to make the trip to Whittier. I'm sure you all join us in wishing Roland a speedy and full recovery.
The show will go on! Robert is bringing the dancers and will move over to piano. The gentlemen of Halau Na Kamalei o Lililehua have sung with him at past Shannon Center shows. So the musical will flow.
The Brothers Cazimero are consummate performers who have made their indelible imprint on the face of contemporary Hawaiian music. Their talent, longevity and sales success over the past 30 years have placed them in a league of their own, untouched by any other performer in the history of Hawaiian music.
The early 1970s were a remarkable time as the Hawaiian culture and music began an amazing resurgence in Hawai‘i. Leading the way down this amazing new path were The Brothers Cazimero, carrying a torch that sparked a new interest in music performed in the Hawaiian language with a contemporary sound that even today has never been duplicated.
