Professor Geirola Comments on the Relevance of E-Books

Gustavo GeirolaWhittier College Professor Gustavo Geirola attended last month the Guadalajara International Book Fair, the biggest of its kind in the Spanish language. Some of Geirola's books and academic journals were presented at the Fair and he was also interviewed by Mexican television regarding the impact of e-books.

In the interview with Canal 44, he discusses in detail his online academic journal Argus-a Arts and Humanities which is published in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The purpose of this online academic journal, which is free to the public, is to give access to academic research and writing in the Arts and Humanities to a wider populations, especially students.  See more of Geirola's interview in Spanish with Canal 44.

The Guadalajara International Book Fair is the most important publishing gathering in Ibero-America and includes a cultural festival. Created 29 years ago by the University of Guadalajara, the Fair is aimed at professionals and the general public alike, a characteristic that sets it apart from other book fairs around the globe.
