RealNewMusic, a concept and festival conceived by Shane W. Cadman, confronts the reality that a lot of what is considered a new music is actually 50-100 years old, and that a fair amount of contemporary music is composed using techniques that result in music that sounds 50-100 years old. RealNewMusic is about providing an outlet for local music that has been created by composer/performers. Right now, the primary focus of RealNewMusic is a music festival.
