PRAGDA Film Festival: Film Screening of From the Land to Your Table

Whittier College Video Production Studios hosts their very first Spanish Film Festival provided by PRAGDA, a film distribution company created to promote, disseminate, and maintain the legacy of Spanish and Latin American cinema through unique cultural initiatives.​ The PRAGDA film series continues with a film screening of  From the Land to Your Table. The documentary of From the Land to Your Table shows the perspectives of seven Ibero-American filmmakers as they capture the conditions and cultural diversity of popular produce markets in their individual countries. 

American Music for Two Pianos

Stephen Cook and Vatche MankerianMusic department faculty member Stephen Cook and guest Vatche Mankerian perform American Music for Two Pianos. The program features the music of Aaron Copland ("Hoe Down" and "Saturday Night Waltz"), Leonard Bernstein ("Symphonic Dances" from West Side Story), and concludes with "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin.  

More than 200 Poets Earn Dean's List Distinction

Whittier College students, CAAS, Dean's ListWhittier College has named 248 undergraduate students to the Fall 2015 Dean's List.

Undergraduate students are awarded Dean's List honors if he or she earns a 3.70 grade point average (GPA) while completing a full-time course load (12 units) in the fall or spring terms.

Names will also be posted in the Center for Advising and Academic Success.
