Edwin Bennett, Class of 2016Edwin Bennett, a senior majoring in biochemistry, has tutored children in math, presented at a biology academic conference, volunteered at local hospitals, and even found time to build homes in Mexico with Amor Ministries. Next Stop: UCLA's School of Dentistry on a full-tuition scholarship.

Men's Lacrosse Earn Spot in NCAA National Championship

Men's Lacrosse, National ChampionshipsThe Whittier College men's lacrosse team has earned a bid into the NCAA Division III National Championship for the first time since 2004 and for the fourth time in the program's history.

The Poets will travel to Colorado Springs to face-off against rival Colorado College for the third time in less than four weeks on Wednesday, May 11.

Undergraduate Research in Full Display at URSCA

Student presenting at URSCAWhittier College's 2016 Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity (URSCA) Presentation Day highlighted the quality undergraduate research produced by Whittier students.

The all-day conference included simultaneous poster sessions in Mendenhall lobby and individual presentations in Hoover Hall.

End of Year Student Art Exhibition

Student Art ExhibitAfter a lot of hard work and artistic inspiration, several Whittier students took top prizes at the end-of-the-year student art exhibition.

Skyler Dayton's '16 topographical maps of Yosemite Valley and part of The Grand Canyon took first place at the award ceremony in Mendenhall's Greenleaf Gallery. The maps use different textures to represent different elevations of the beautiful landscapes.
