Whittier has established a "house" system with resident Faculty Masters and their families who live on campus next to student
residences. The residential college, or house tradition, is designed to extend the classroom learning experience to all aspects of
students' lives. Educational and social programs hosted by Faculty Masters include scholarly lectures, dinners, musical
performances, and off-campus excursions.
