Jan Legoza
was named vice president for finance and administration for
Whittier College in 2000. For the academic year 2004-05, she
took on a dual role, serving as both VP and as interim president
of the college.
Legoza’s
leadership at Whittier has been instrumental to the success of
several major projects, including the recently issued Series
2004 bond; construction of the Rose Hills Foundation Center for
Information Resources; revamping of the college’s investment
policy; initiation of an early retirement program for faculty;
and a transparent budgeting process. In addition to managing
the college’s day-to-day activities, during the interim period
Legoza worked to plan the bond issue construction projects and
began the development of a marketing initiative.
Legoza
earned a B.A. from State University of New York at Plattsburgh
and an M.P.A. from State University of New York at Albany.
