FAMILIES OF ROWLAND HEIGHTS VICTIMS
UNITE IN REMEMBRANCE
--Williams and Tsang families organize
memorial scholarship at Whittier College--
(Whittier,
CA) August 14, 2007--Jan
Williams, mother and grandmother to deceased Rowland Heights
residents Neal Williams, Devon Williams, and Ian Williams,
has joined with Kai and Alice Tsang to establish a memorial
scholarship at Whittier College.
Ms. Williams, a long-standing employee and graduate of Whittier
College, and Mr. and Mrs. Tsang, Devon and Ian's maternal
grandparents, hope to provide financial assistance to future
enrollees, feeling the best way to honor the memories of their son
and grandsons is to provide an opportunity for education to those
who lack the financial means to attend college.
The Williams and Tsang families thank the community at large for
the outpouring of sympathy and support in this troubled time. The
sympathy of the neighborhood and community is much appreciated.
They also ask both the community and the media for privacy, to
allow them to deal with this horrible event privately, and with
dignity.
Those wishing to show their support by contributing to the Neal,
Devon, and Ian Williams Memorial Scholarship fund should contact
Elizabeth Power Robison in the Office of Advancement at Whittier
College, (562) 907-4213.
Donations can also be mailed directly to:
Whittier College
Office of Advancement
Attn: Elizabeth Power Robison
P.O. Box 634
Whittier, CA 90608
Please make checks payable to Whittier College, and please include
"Williams Scholarship" on the memo line.
