Daar has published and lectured on a number of issues related to bioethics, including cloning, reproductive technologies, selective reduction of multiple pregnancy, hospital practices and policies for denying life-sustaining treatment, surrogate mother contracts, and patient autonomy versus a physician's professional conscience. She is a member of the University of California, Irvine, Medical Ethnic Committee, chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Bioethics Committee's Subcommittee on Reproductive Issues, and a member of the Sherman Oaks Hospital and Health Center Biomedical Ethics Committee. Daar earned a B.A. from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Georgetown University.

Dmohowski has an extensive background in serials management and as a reference librarian. He is skilled in archives management, including the preservation and restoration of books and documents. His article From a Common Ground: The Quaker Heritage of Jessamyn West and Richard Nixon, appeared in the Fall 1994 issue of California History. He wrote The Friendly Persuasion Screenplay Controversy: Michael Wilson, Jessamyn West, and the Hollywood Blacklist, which appeared in the October 2002 edition of the Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television. The piece received the Carfax Prize for best journal article of 2002, and he accepted the award while attending the International Association for Media and History biennial conference in Leicester, England, in July of 2003. He presented Nixon: Oliver Stone's Historical Revision Revisited at the conference.
He is a member of the Whittier Historical Society, and the Society of California Archivists, and has contributed to many television and written pieces on Richard Nixon.

Dmohowski earned B.A. and M.A. degrees at California State University at Los Angeles, and an M.S.L.S. at the University of Southern California.
