Courses Dr. Lagan teaches at Whittier College include statistical physics, modern physics, fundamentals of physics, oscillations and waves, electromagnetism and quantum mechanics. His research has encompassed the field of chaos in dynamical systems, kinetic theory of polyatomic gases, and the construction and investigation of a non-linear mechanical pendulum that is capable of chaotic behavior.

Dr. Lagan is a citizen of the Republic of Ireland and completed his undergraduate studies at Dublin University's Trinity College. He earned a Ph.D. in physics from Lehigh University.

Leary comes to Whittier Law School from Florida, where she served as law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court and clerk to the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court, and as director of legal research and the Policy Studies Clinic writing at Florida State University. Her subjects include Constitutional law, criminal procedure, torts, and women and the law.

Leary has a B.A. from Valdosta State College, a J.D. from Florida State University and an LL.M. from Columbia University.

Lozano is flutist with the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and has performed extensively as a soloist, orchestral musician and chamber musician. He has performed and recorded with such artists as Aurele Nicole, John Mauceri, Marilyn Horne, Althea Waites, Whitney Houston, Julie Andrews, Peabo Bryson, Patti Austin, Linda Ronstadt, Celia Cruz, Alex Acuna and many other classical, jazz and Latin artists. His solo recording credits include a compact disc of contemporary works by Mexican, Argentinian and African-American composers, as well as an album of selected flute works and an album of concertos by Mexican composers recorded with the National Symphony of Mexico.

Lozano received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California and an M.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
