Whittier College Email: mediarelations@whittier.edu Woven Harmony Concert to Feature Mix of Visual Art and Music WHITTIER, CA (SEPTEMBER 21, 2007) – Rebecca and Robert Bluestone will bring Woven Harmony, a collaborative multidisciplinary concert, to the community at 8 p.m., October 12 in the Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts, 6760 Painter Ave., on the campus of Whittier College. Admission is $15 general. This unique performance will combine display of Rebecca Bluestone’s hand-dyed woven silk textiles and the classical guitar playing of Robert Bluestone. Rebecca Bluestone is an acclaimed artist whose tapestries have been featured at the Chicago Art Institute, the Denver Art Museum. Her work has also been featured in the New York Times. Robert Bluestone is an internationally renown musician who has performed with Western States Arts Federation Performing Arts Tour and was the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in the Arts Award given by the Mayor of Santa Fe, New Mexico. In addition to being a concert guitarist, Robert Bluestone has also released three CDs, Recital, Alchemy, and Convergence. As Robert Bluestone plays the guitar, Rebecca Bluestone will explain the inspiration for her artwork as well as the techniques involved. They are based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Founded by Quakers in
