Broadoaks to Host Annual

Science and Technology Night

Members of the community are invited to participate in a variety of science
activities and experiments as the Broadoaks Children’s School at
Whittier College
hosts Bank of America Family Night at the summer academies on Thursday, July 25,
7–8:30 p.m.

According to Vann Priest, director of the Broadoaks science academy, there
will be many projects for families to interact with as they enjoy science discoveries
by students and participate in hands-on projects.  Students will also demonstrate
the many digital photographic and film techniques they have used in the Digital
World, the newest of the summer academies.

The open house is part of Broadoaks’ science program, which is sponsored by
the Bank of America Foundation.  The school is located on the Whittier College
campus, and parking is available on
Olive Drive, just one block north of Philadelphia.
No reservations are needed.

Located 18 miles east of Los Angeles, Whittier College is an independent,
four-year college offering traditional liberal arts majors and strong pre-professional
programs taught in the context of the liberal arts.  Whittier Law School, which is
accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of
American Law Schools, is located on a separate campus in Costa Mesa.
