Hawaii’s Brothers Cazimero in 10th Appearance at Whittier College

Marking their tenth appearance at Whittier College, the Brothers Cazimero, known as the founders of modern Hawaiian music, will be in concert in the Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts at 3 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 24.

Accompanied onstage by native Hawaiian dance performers, they will perform the melodies, chants and dances of their ancestors along with contemporary music and dance techniques to bring the past, present and future of Hawaii together as one.

With more than 30 recordings to their names, brothers Robert and Roland have played their traditional acoustic bass and 12-string guitars on such television programs as The Today Show and Good Morning America in addition to performing in concert venues around the world.

Tickets are $32, and they are available by calling the Shannon Center Box Office at (562) 907-4203.

Located 18 miles east of Los Angeles, Whittier College is an independent, four-year college offering traditional liberal arts majors and strong pre-professional programs taught in the context of the liberal arts.  Whittier Law School, which is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools, is located on a separate campus in Costa Mesa.
