Zoom can be used for hosting synchronous class sessions, in which everyone logs in to a web conferencing system at a pre-scheduled time.  Zoom can be used to host online class sessions, to create pre-recorded lectures and for virtual office hours.  Zoom can be used on laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, and desk phones giving students many ways to access the class session.
