Professor Gil Gonzalez has trained under some of the country's most respected theatre artists including: Sabin Epstien, Richard Warner, Bob Chapel, commedia dell'arte with Doug Berky, voice with Andrew Wade of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and Richard Armstrong of the Roy Hart Theatre.

Gonzalez continues to direct and act professionally and has many credits for the stage, film, television, as well as in commercials. A founding member and Co-Artistic Director of the Remnant Theatre Company, Gil was the Circuit Three Coordinator (2008-2012) and continues to serve on the Governing Board for Region VIII of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF). Additionally, he is a member of AEA (Actors Equity Association), SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), ATHE (Association for Theatre in Higher Education), and an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC).
