Journal of Early AdolescenceAssociate Professor of Education and Child Development Anne Sebanc and Professor of Mathematics Jeff Lutgen published the co-written article, “Transactional Relationships Between Latinos’ Friendship Quality and Academic Achievement During the Transition to Middle School,” in the Journal of Early Adolescence. The article is based on a study of 146 students that investigates whether friendship quality, academic achievement, and mastery goal orientation predict each other across student’s transition from elementary to middle school. The study, first published online on November 11, is currently available online and will be available in print soon.
