Minority caucus group pictureDozens of Whittier College students and staff members helped hundreds of local families have a happy Thanksgiving. Volunteering with the Interfaith Food Center in Whittier, the Whittier group distributed food and helped individuals carry their food supplies (including a turkey) to their car. Some students worked the early shift to did some heavy lifting and set-up, while other volunteers worked behind the scenes in the warehouse helping to keep supplies organized.

Volunteers included members of the Minority Caucus, Orthogonian society, and Center for Engagement with Communities.

Approximately 1,000 individuals received enough items to feed their families, which means that approximately 3,000 to 4,000 people were served and will not go hungry this Thanksgiving Day.
