Our mailing address is Whittier College, Office of Development, 13406 E. Philadelphia Street, P. O. Box 634, Whittier, CA 90608-0634. Please make your check payable to Whittier College.
The envelope with your check must be postmarked no later than December 31. Check the local Post Office hours and drop off locations.
Gifts by Credit Card
Online credit card gifts may be submitted until 11:59 p.m. PST on December 31. Make your gift via our secure site.
If you plan to send your credit card donation through the mail, leave enough time for the Post Office to deliver it to Whittier College on or before December 31. The Development Office must process your credit card before 2 p.m. on December 31 to meet the 2021 deadline.

To make a gift over the phone, please call 562.907.4219. The Development Office will be closed December 24, 2021 through January 3, 2022. We will reopen on January 4, 2022. All voicemail messages will receive a response within 24 hours, including on days the office is closed.
Gifts of Stock/Securities
Gifting securities to Whittier College offers tax advantages over cash gifts, as it can avoid a capital gains tax. Your gift to the College will be the market value of the stock on date on which the stock is transferred into Whittier’s account. Learn more about gifting securities.
Please request the transfer from your broker with plenty of time in advance and notify our office as well. In order for your gift to be recorded in 2021, your stock transfer must be completed on or before December 31. Verification of stock transfers often takes a few days at this time of year, because of many financial institutions' holiday schedules.
