The Whittier Museum published an article on the life and legacy of Dr. Charles E. Tebbetts, Whittier College’s first president, whose leadership helped secure the College’s future, achieve accreditation, and graduate its first class in 1904.
Tebbets’ 1880s high-wheel bicycle is now part of the museum’s collection. Late alumni Don and Barbara (Van Arsdall) Jenkins '53 later purchased the bicycle, and in 2002, it was gifted to the Whittier Museum.
