2021 Commencement Information
In addition to its undergraduate programs, Whittier offers a graduate program in education.
The Whittier Scholars Program (WSP) is a unique option at Whittier College that allows students to customize a major and course work around a field or career they're interested in pursuing.
See yourself serving Doctors Without Borders? Then blend pre-med with global and cultural studies. Want to create children’s books? Mix creative writing, art, and child development.
Students in this program are required to complete an off-campus experience, which can either be an internship or study abroad experience.
Whittier students who plan to pursue careers as doctors, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors, or veterinarians select a closely related major and receive specialized guidance from a select group of professors throughout their time at Whittier.
Starting in their first year, pre-health students build experience in the lab, in the field, and in the classroom, ensuring they develop the investigative and professional skills they'll need for admission to and success in a professional school.
Kinesiology majors at Whittier College can declare a Pre-Physical Therapy emphasis that will prepare them for admission to Doctor of Physical Therapy programs after completing their Bachelor's degree at Whittier. Pre-Physical Therapy students work closely with highly-regarded professors in Whittier's Kinesiology department to ensure they select the right courses and electives throughout their time at Whittier.
Don't worry - you don't have to pick a major just yet. At Whittier, you'll have plenty of time and support to discover yourself, your likes and dislikes, your passion, your talent, and most importantly, your potential. Fill out the form below to get in touch with an admission counselor.
