Whittier held its first-ever, large-scale concert, Whittfest. The concert gave Poets the chance to see Grammy award winning artist T-Pain along with two opening acts chosen by students. Poets danced the night away and sang along with T-Pain as he took over Memorial Stadium. He thanked the students for inviting him to Whittfest and included new and soon-to-be-released tracks to his performance.

The two opening acts included 7 Planets Like Earth and Whittier Alumni DJ. Attello, a Whittier Alumnus. Speaking about his time at Whittier, Attello – finance major and Penn Society member – said he “loves” coming back to his alma mater because he “enjoys the energy on campus.” Opening for T-Pain now gives him some bragging rights but it was also a “humbling experience, given the scope of this concert.”

Whittfest was produced by the ASWC Senate.
