Whittier Professor Names Trustee of San Antonio Regional Hospital

Visiting Assistant Professor Robert MendezVisiting Assistant Professor of Business Administration Robert Mendez has been appointed to the San Antonio Regional Hospital Board of Trustees. 

Prior to coming to Whittier, Mendez was an accomplished television industry attorney and senior executive with global entertainment companies managing business and legal affairs. In his last position, he served as senior vice president, diversity & talent development for Disney/ABC Television Group. In his role, Mendez was responsible for advancing diversity strategies for various properties within the Disney/ABC Television Group. He also served as senior vice president, business and legal affairs, for Disney/ABC Domestic Television. Earlier in his career, Mendez served as senior vice president, business affairs at Paramount Pictures Domestic Television. 

Long committed to employment diversity in the television industry and other business sectors, Mendez is a past president of the Hispanic National Bar Association and has served on the boards of the Mexican American Bar Association, the International Radio and Television Society, and the National Association of Multi-Ethnics in Communications, among others. He is also a past member of the FCC Subcommittee on Diversity in the Digital Age. Mendez received a J.D. from the University of California Davis School of Law and a B.A. from Pomona College.

Since 1907, San Antonio Regional Hospital has emerged as a premier regional medical facility with satellite locations across the rapidly expanding Inland Empire. The Board of Trustees is dedicated to ensuring that the hospital is positioned to continue this long-standing tradition for the next 100 years and beyond.
