Working in the Center’s education department, Waight assisted with implementing the Institute for Educators, a week-long, intensive summer professional development program where educators learn how to integrate the arts into core curriculum.  She also helped produce various other education-related events hosted by the Music Center this summer.

“In the future, I hope to be a strong advocate for arts education, mentor future generations, and be a great resource for students in all aspects,” said Waight. “Being at Whittier has taught me great communications skills, time management, and efficiency, which was very helpful when I had to teach myself new skills and working big events for the first time.”
