Guidelines for a Minor in Public Health
The minor consists of a minimum of 18 credits distributed as follows:
Required Courses:
- Introduction to Public Health, INTD 270 (4 credits)
*Introduction to Public Health is advised to be the first course students take.
- Elementary Statistics, MATH 080, 3 credits, or Statistics, PSYC/SOC 214, (4 credits)
- Epidemiology, BIOL 365 (4 credits)
- Social Welfare Policy, SOWK 364 (3 credits)
Any two of the following courses:

- Legal Issues, SOWK 290 (4 credits)

- Stress and Disease in the 21st Century, PSYC 227 (4 credits)
- Current Topics in Health, KNS 300 (3 credits)
Environmental science topics in public health
- Introduction to Environmental Science, ENVS 100 (4 credits)
