You don’t want to just answer questions. You love asking them, too, especially that one question that’s so simple yet so complex: “Why?” You see the way things are, and you know there’s a discovery just waiting to make them better. Even though every new answer only leads to more questions—somehow, that excites you.
Whittier College offers a lot of different STEM majors to choose from: biology, chemistry and biochemistry, environmental science and studies, kinesiology, integrated computer science, math, physics, and psychology. Our 3-2 engineering program even allows you to start your degree here, then finish at USC. Whatever you choose, you’ll have professors who are there for you from day one, both supporting you and inviting you to take charge of your experiments.
Interested in a job in health sciences or physical therapy? Our advisors are here to guide you on your way to graduate or professional school.
Plus, if you’re the type who loves to mix and match—say, studying the connections between exercise and psychology, blending mind and body—we have a program for that, too. At Whittier, students can design their own degree. Or if STEM isn't your thing, we also have lots of other majors, from art to anthropology.
Regardless of your major, once you've completed your first year at Whittier, you'll be eligible for a Global Poet Scholarship—a $2,000 award you can use to study art or culture in a foreign country.
