We hope you find your virtual visit interesting and enjoyable.
This is a vibrant, challenging, and friendly academic community dedicated to interdisciplinary learning, teaching respect for people of all backgrounds, and educating students to make a difference in the world.
Today you may get a glimpse into your future. This College is a place where students learn to “let their lives speak,” a principle encouraged by the Quakers who founded Whittier more than a century ago.
Whether through cutting-edge research with faculty (some of whom you will get to meet this afternoon), interesting internships, service to the community, travel-study with a faculty member, or late-night conversations with friends in the residence halls, Whittier College creates opportunities that transform lives.
Whittier College would like to welcome you and your family into the Poet community. Campus Leadership is eager to demonstrate what it means to be a Whittier College student and scholar. During our welcome you’ll learn about your unique class from our Executive Director of Admission and Financial Aid and receive a special Poet welcome from a current student.
This session will help you understand our two curricular options—traditional majors/core requirements and a self-designed educational plan via the Whittier Scholars Program. You will learn about research opportunities, class sizes, and hear from faculty from different disciplines.
Whittier will not only help you achieve your higher education goals but will help you develop your professional skills, build you resume, and expand your network. Learn about the various internships, fellowships, and community-based programs you can participate in while at Whittier. With our active alumni network, you will be set up for success after graduation.
If you plan to live on campus, this session will go over the housing selection process, important dates/requirements, and expectations of on-campus living. Also get a glimpse of life as a residential student through programming and community building.
Meet your future classmates in a 1:1 setting. You will have 3 minutes to connect with many of your classmates. Exchange contact information or ask one of the pre-designed questions to get to know one another. Keep scrolling to see the Speed Friending questions.
