Each semester, CAAS provides academic success workshops designed to help students identify valuable study and life skills, personal attributes, academic policies, and resources required to ensure a successful college experience.

Workshops center around timely and popular topics such as: 

  • Motivation
  • Exploring Degree Works
  • Study skills
  • Time management

Additionally, Academic Success workshops and the Exploring Majors event are also provided to students – with a focus on first-year students - to explore majors, educational planning, and career options.

Workshop topics regularly include: Making the Transition, Time Management, Reading Techniques, Time Management for Finals, Getting Back on Track, Math Anxiety, Vocabulary Development, Stress Management, and Preparing for Finals
