Senior Spotlight: Ahmed Amer ’25 Serves Up Excellence

May 16, 2025

Ahmed Amer ’25Whether by rallying the team on the court or advocating for fellow student-athletes in campus leadership, tennis captain Ahmed Amer left a lasting impact at Whittier.

A business administration major with a concentration in finance and a minor in economics from Cairo, Egypt, Amer served as president of both the Poet Student-Athlete Leadership Academy and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and was also a senator in the Associated Students of Whittier College.

Throughout his time at Whittier, Amer balanced intense athletic commitment with academic rigor, all while finding time for hobbies like hiking, gaming, reading, and traveling. He crossed the Commencement stage yesterday having honed his leadership, discipline, and teamwork skills as well as hands-on experience from internships in investment banking and private equity.

We asked him a few questions about his experience as a Poet and his plans for the future.
