Internships

The Whittier Works initiative prepares students for successful careers.

Career readiness is essential for social mobility. Whittier Works prepares students to pursue opportunities that lead to meaningful careers, fostering economic independence and long-term success.

Career Center Connections

Central to the mission is the Center for Career and Professional Development, which provides students with personalized coaching, career exploration, graduate school preparation, and networking with alumni and potential employers.

Whittier students benefit from the center's partnerships with employers, leading to internships and other hands-on experiences. The Whittier Works initiative expands these benefits even further with more internship opportunities so that students graduate with resumes that already showcase real-world experiences.

On-Campus Internships

Unpaid internships can be a barrier for students who need financial assistance accessing their college education. Whittier Works addresses this challenge by prioritizing fundraising for paid internship opportunities.

By removing financial barriers, the program ensures that all students, regardless of background, can access the career-building experiences they need to succeed.

Preparing Tomorrow's Leaders

Whittier Works supports the Civic Scholars Program, which provides a generous scholarship for an annual cohort of students and opportunities for civic engagement and professional development.
