John Greenleaf Whittier Scholarship Program in February

Congratulations on receiving a prestigious John Greenleaf Whittier Scholarship. 

The Whittier College Greenleaf Scholarship Program provides you with an opportunity to compete for additional academic scholarship funds.  As an attendee, you will be hosted by a current Whittier student on our campus in addition to the competition events, you’ll experience life as a Whittier College student and will have an opportunity to interact with Whittier College faculty.  

When is the Greenleaf Scholarship Program?         

Sunday, January 21, 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

What is involved in the scholarship competition?

You will write an essay, participate in team building activities, and interview with an admission counselor.  Participants will be evaluated after completion to determine who will receive an additional scholarship ranging from $1,000-$12,000.  

Where does the Greenleaf Scholarship Program begin?     

Villalobos Hall at Whittier College, check-in at 12:45 pm. Click here for directions. 

Are my parents invited?                    

Yes!  We hope they will come to the following activities for parents:

Parent Information Session

Parent activities will include a chance to meet with a representative from Admission and Financial Aid, alumni, and current students during an informational session, campus tour, Q&A panels, and a parent mixer on Sunday.

The parent program runs simultaneously to the scholarship competition and will last from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

Lunch and dinner will be provided for students and their parents! (Please do not bring siblings)

Space is limited to the first 50 students who RSVP.
