Bio

Professor Ann Hickey’s research focuses on gaining a better understand of the connection between the mind and performance in sport or exercise settings and examining the effectiveness of various mental skills used to enhance performance in the sport and exercise setting.  In addition, she works as a sport psychology consultant in which she works directly with athletes and coaches applying the principles of performance enhancement.  Professor Hickey is a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and Phi Epsilon Kappa (PEK).
