Now is literally the time to stop and smell the roses!

Explore the new life flourishing right before your eyes. Spring is in the air, and there’s no better time to get started on some of these activities.

DIY Flower Arrangements

There are no strict rules on how to create an arrangement. All you need are fresh or artificial flowers to start. You can use a vase, watering can, bottles, or anything that can contain water to hold the flowers in. Play with color, size, and texture to fit your own aesthetic.

Spring Cleaning

Open up your windows, let the fresh air in and any negative energy out. Give your space a little TLC with some dusting, organization, and letting go of things you don’t use. There’s something therapeutic about clearing or rearranging your space.

Bubbles

Simply blow bubbles! Dance around them as you unleash your inner child.

DIY Bird Feeder

You can use recycled soda or water bottles to hold the food inside. All you have to do is make large enough holes in the bottle so the birds can reach the food. Next, inside the holes you should glue in skewers or thin planks so they can have some balance while eating! For more information, Country Living has these 13 different DIY bird feeders.

Raised Bed or Container Garden

Spring is the perfect time to start growing! When choosing a container, make sure it has a drainage hole at the bottom. Strawberries are so fun to grow right now, and remember that they require full sun and a lot of water. Consider this your sign to start your vegetable, fruit, and herb garden.

Paint Rocks

Grab yourself some paint and find some rocks! This will allow you to explore your creativity and nature.

Visit a Nursery or Garden

It’s almost mid-spring, which means the flowers are blooming and the nurseries are filled with vibrant colors. Take some time to support and treat yourself to a local nursery. The Huntington Library, Descanso Gardens, and Los Angeles Arboretum are some beautiful SoCal gardens that will be worth your time.

Sun Therapy and Picnic

Take a moment to simply sit in the presence of the sun. Allow yourself to soak in the warmth like a flower, but with sunscreen. You can do this while you set up a nice picnic in the park anywhere outside.
