While earning your B.A. in biology at Whittier College, you'll work with professors who will guide you through research and help you understand the intricate connections of the living world.
You’ll learn by doing, not just from a textbook. You’ll be given the freedom to develop and test your own experiments in Whittier's state-of-the-art labs. You’ll have the personal attention of your professors, who will mentor you and help you toward the next step in your scientific education: graduate school.
And, once you've completed your first year at Whittier, you'll be eligible for a Global Poet Scholarship - a $2,000 award you can use to study literature in a foreign country. Biology professors have taken classes to places like South Africa and Thailand.
