In order to qualify for holiday pay, an eligible employee must work the employee's regular schedule on the day immediately before and after the holiday. Only excused absences, such as approved vacation days, will be considered exceptions. Holiday pay will only be paid for hours and days an employee is normally scheduled to work.
The Personal Day must be agreed upon between the employee and their supervisor. To be eligible for use of the Personal Day, eligible employees must have completed the first 180 days of their probationary period.
