Fred Bergerson talks to students and families at Preview DayCoinciding with the College's Whittier Weekend festivities, the Office of Admission and Financial Aid hosted their annual Whittier Preview Day, one of their signature on-campus events. Approximately 300 high school students and guests visited Whittier College for in-depth information sessions and campus tours.

President Sharon Herzberger and Vice President of Enrollment Fred Pfursich welcomed attendees at a spirited session in the Ruth B. Shannon Center for the Performing Arts. President Herzberger spoke about the advantages of a liberal arts education and highlighted the College's unique Whittier Scholars Program, an alternative curricular path available to Whittier students. Pfursich walked students through Whittier's application process and encouraged attendees to take full advantage of the day's sessions.

Faculty members from various departments were on hand to describe their academic programs and requirements and answer questions from students and families. Among the departments represented were sociology, English, education, music, art, political science, psychology, business administration, biology, and kinesiology and nutrition science.
