How to Apply

Students who have already submitted or started a Common Application can use their profile to apply to Whittier as well. There is no application fee and no SAT/ACT is required. Students who apply via the Common Application will need to submit a Secondary School Report from their counselor, two letters of recommendation, official high school transcripts, and a personal statement.

Students may also apply via Instant Decision, which allows students to apply quickly and easily during a face-to-face interview with a Whittier Admission Counselor and receive an admission decision at the conclusion of their interview. Instant Decision requires that applicants submit a transcript and writing sample (a graded class assignment, for example) prior to their appointment. Letters of recommendation are not required to apply via Instant Decision.

Students who have already been admitted to Whittier for Fall 2024 and meet the criteria must submit their FAFSA to Whittier as soon as possible. The Office of Financial Aid is working with admitted students who have received a Student Affordability Index (SAI) to prepare an estimated financial aid package while we continue to wait for official FAFSA data from the U.S. Department of Education.
